The 21st century classroom utilizes technology and Project-Based Learning (PBL) to create real world, enriched learning experiences that focus on academic standards and 21st century skills (i.e.: oral & written communication, work ethic, collaboration or team work, and critical thinking).

With this initiative, HCAM plans to create 21st century classrooms that utilize digital curriculum in 1:1 computer environments. HCAM has transitioned from traditional textbooks to teacher developed and digital curriculum delivered through a ChromeBook for every student. One to One (1:1) means that every student has access to technology at any given time.

For HCAM, this means that every student will have a ChromeBook to utilize during the school day.  Students will also have the opportunity to have 24/7 access (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) to technology.

Check out how the students feel technology has changed learning!

Prior to the start of school, parents/guardians of middle school and high school students, who wish for their children to receive a K-64 Chromebook during the upcoming school year, must sign an agreement form. The digital information and required signature form are available online for parents/guardians (you must have a valid email address):

If you prefer to preview the information and sign the agreement form “in-person,” each middle and high school will schedule information sessions, posted on the schools’ websites. Questions? Give us a call: 828-328-6738
