Kohrs, Aaron

Dear students and parents,

Hello and greetings!

My name is Aaron Kohrs, I am the 2017-18 NC Civics and Economics teacher for Hickory Career and Arts Magnet High, and I welcome you to my site!

Studying history and politics in both the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, I have a strong interest in public discourse (civil intellectual conversation arguing a point or position).

I am a local and native of Hickory (St. Stephens High graduate of 2012), and I look forward to working with you this year.

Every course and lesson I teach integrates several key principles I consider essential to twenty-first century life and socioeconomic opportunity: global lens through which to view learning (our seven billion-member planet keeps getting "bigger" yet also "smaller" -- need to know about it!) as well as digital citizenship, art appreciation in all areas, literacy skills.

Please do not hesitate to contact me, should you have any questions.

All best and happy day,
--Aaron Kohrs
