About Me

Hello,
I would like to tell you a little about myself.
I am a lifelong native of Caldwell County. I have lived in Hudson, NC all my life. I graduated from South Caldwell High School in 1984. I have been married to Lisa Cannon Crouch since March 11, 1989. I have two children, a daughter, Ashley Crouch Helton, who is married to Bryan Helton, and a son, David Crouch.
I joined Hudson Fire Department as a volunteer in September of 1985 and I am still a volunteer there. I worked for Hudson Fire Department for almost 20 years before I entered the teaching profession at the high school level. I am also an instructor at Caldwell Community College where I have taught the Basic Emergency Medical Technician class since 2003.
Teaching high school is by far the best job I have ever had. I describe the way I feel about my job as a high school teacher to other people like this: "When I say I love my job, it is an understatement but, I do not know of any other words to describe the way I feel about my job. Since October 1, 2013 there has not been a day that I have woke up and said that I do not want to go to work."
